L.I.V.I.N.G. Ministry is a great place to find service opportunities for groups! Youth groups, college fellowships, fraternities, sororities, corporate groups, last summer’s softball league – we’d love to see them all! Volunteering together is a fun experience for most groups, it helps build bonds between members who may not know each other well, and strengthen relationships between those who do. It’s also a good way to meet other groups and individuals in Pittsburgh, meet service hour requirements, and on top of all of that, spend some time serving the homeless and helping to end poverty here in Pittsburgh!

If your group is considering volunteering us, it is easy to get started. Your first step should be to check our ongoing and upcoming opportunity pages. There you will see all that we have planned. If one of those opportunities seems interesting, then contact Jenna Burdette, our volunteer coordinator.

One of the greatest strengths of L.I.V.I.N.G. Ministry is its flexibility. Because of the organic nature of the ministry, we are able to very easily customize volunteer opportunities to fit just about every group. For groups seeking relational opportunities; we can do that. For groups wanting to only do gardening; we can do that. For groups that are available during the day; we can do that. For groups with 100 people; we can do that. Given enough notice and ample communication, there are not many groups we would not be able to accomodate. If your group has certain perimeters and requirements it must fulfill, please contact Jenna as soon as posible.
