L.I.V.I.N.G. Ministry Benefit Banquet
On Sunday, June 17th (Father’s Day), L.I.V.I.N.G. Ministry is hosting its 3rd annual benefit dinner and silent auction. This event will not only be a time to discuss the current direction and future of the ministry, but also to celebrate and reflect on the past 10 years of service alongside Pittsburgh’s homeless.
Women’s Luncheon
On Sunday, May 20th, L.I.V.I.N.G. Ministry will host a luncheon to celebrate the success and growth of the women’s ministry through Jenna and Jen. This lunch will be hosted at the ministry house from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will be a chance for women to gather together in fellowship and enjoy a very elegant meal together. This meal is for women only! If men want to participate, they will be in the kitchen cooking, cleaning, and serving, but this is an opportunity to honor and serve women.
If you are a woman and are interested in participating, please contact us at volunteer AT livingministry DOT org. We still have some spaces available!
Successful Work-A-Thon
Last Saturday, May 12th, L.I.V.I.N.G. Ministry hosted our first ever Work-a-thon. We know how much people love workdays, so this was our effort to host the year’s biggest. We didn’t get the 100 volunteer that we wanted, but all those that came enjoyed themselves, the hard work, the good food, and the opportunity to serve God’s Kingdom. Take a look at the pictures below to see all of the work that we were able accomplish!

2012 Sleepout
On Friday, February 24th, L.I.V.I.N.G. Ministry hosted its first ever Sleepout event. This purpose of this event was to education, raise awareness, and encourage participants to get involved in the fight against homelessness. From all accounts this first event was a huge success! 36 people joined us and slept out on one of the coldest nights last month. Most people slept in the abandoned building that we own, and were greeted with the chills of a cold, dark, and damp building. A few braved the elements and actually slept outside with the snow falling and wind whipping all night! Overall, the event was great.
