For 6 weeks Project L.I.F.E has been officially open, and God has proven faithful to His word. There are currently (4) men living in the house, Kenneth Hairston, TJ King, Darin Tomlin, and Patrick Slater. These men has committed themselves to growing in their relationship with God and others, and we have seen tremendous progress so far.

What does a typical day in the life of the men look like? Great question! The men wake up at 7:30 AM. Two of them have the duty to cook and set up for breakfast, while the other two take showers and do their devotion. Breakfast is at 8:00 AM, and the men, along with Jonathan Chapman, our resident director, eat together. After breakfast, two of the men clean up the dishes and vacuum, while the other two take showers. At 9:00 AM, Bible study starts with Mike Ichimura. This Bible study consists of reading and digesting different passages of Scripture. The men are just about finishing the book of Nehemiah in their morning Bible Study.At 11:00 AM, the men have personal finance class where they discuss how to manage their money. They also talk about their goals, aspirations, and dreams and how the Bible should guide those things.

12:30 is lunch for the men, and afterwards, they engage in exercise and other electives. These may include playing Wii, resting, writing letters to family, or using the computer. At 5:30 PM, the men begin preparations for dinner and then their evening activity. Most evenings, the men attend Bible Studies or have visitors come in and fellowship with them. On most Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings, they attend a church called Pittsburgh City Outreach, which is a great church family about 2 minutes from the house. There, the men have developed friendships with other men and women who are in similar situations as themselves.

Weekends are very relaxed at the house, with the men resting, cleaning, and just enjoying time getting away from the cares of life. Family and friends often come over on weekends and see the progress of the guys.
