Pittsburgh Ranked 13th For Volunteering

The Pittsburgh Metro Area currently ranks 13th in Forbes’ America’s Top Cities For Volunteering!

Between 2004-2006, an average of 609,000 people turned out each year in Pittsburgh to volunteer, mostly through religious and youth organizations. One of the most interesting things about Pittsburgh’s volunteers is that nearly half of them do their work through fund-raising activities. Nationwide, less than 30% of all volunteering is done through fund-raising.
