Currently, the ministry is looking forward to some exciting changes in the next few months. This summer, we will be looking to expand our staff and add 4 more people! These people will help us expand our capacity so that we can serve more homeless and serve them more faithfully. With that being said, we will need to increase the amount of support that we raise to be able to accommodate that influx of staff.

God has laid it upon our hearts to aggressively pursue new areas of ministry, as well as expand current ministry opportunities. In the next year, we will be looking to almost double the amount of people we serve (from 1500 to 2500), complete the renovation of our second house for Project L.I.F.E. which will increase our capacity to 8 men at a time, expand and branch out our newly formed women’s ministry into more shelters and opportunities, to increase our Board of Directors, and greater volunteer participation across all of our event. Whew. That sounds like a lot. And it is. But nothing is too much for God, and we firmly believe that all of these things are within His will for us to pursue.

So what does this mean for you? Well, simply, it means we need your help. In 2009, we raised roughly $129,000, which covered all of our needs. For 2010, our budget more than doubled to $260,000! This includes the cost to run Project L.I.F.E., hire new staff, expand programs, etc. As a ministry, we have always been firm believers that whatever God calls us to do, He will provide for. We would ask that you prayerfully consider making a continuous or one-time donation that would go toward the furthering of our mission to serve Pittsburgh’s homeless in the name of Jesus Christ.
